Life is full of choices, both good and bad. And all choices have consequences. Making the right choice takes effort, and this program can help put you on the path toward better decision making, better problem solving and better consequences that come from making the right choices.

Parenting Group Program (Click here to see the flyer)

Parenting is the ultimate on-the-job-training – we all learn as we go. Discover better ways to interact with your children and learn how to help them (and you) reach their true potential.

Youth Development Program - RISE

It’s never too soon to start making good decisions. Designed to give youth a strong foundation and to develop life skills that will help them grow in a positive direction, RISE empowers youth to understand how they can shape their future. This program is available to school districts and sports programs.

Transitional Living Center for Women (TLC)

Mending the breaks caused by homelessness and substance abuse.
This shelter for displaced women works to combat three major challenges facing many women in Muskegon County: 1. No home of their own to live in. 2. Overcoming any disability that is a barrier to the quality of their life. 3. Seriously damaged relationships with family and friends. An extensive after-care program is offered for women after their stay at TLC, and this comprehensive, compassionate approach helps develop patterns and behaviors that will last a lifetime.

TLC Days

An innovative approach to providing substance abuse treatment using the "recovery-oriented system of care" model that is tailored to the population of persons dealing with a housing crisis as well as substance abuse issues

Couples Counseling

Couples face challenges from time to time, and may find that someone on the outside, trained in couples work, can help shine light on difficulties in a new and productive way.  Ask our staff about working with a counselor in couples treatment.

Co-occurring Disorders Program

Sometimes people struggle with both mental health and substance abuse issues.  When this is the case our counseling staff takes a different approach to helping someone find their way.  Our staff will diagnose areas of struggle and focus on co-occurring issues when necessary.

Women and Family Specialty Services

Women Against Relapse, or W.A.R., is a specialty program for women that offers individual and group services specific to women's needs.  Outreach, transportation, and childcare services may be available.

2nd Chance

2nd Chance is a 30-90 day program for felony offenders who are being diverted from long-term jail or prison sentences. The program provides room and board, supervision, and security 24-hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Clients must be approved by the Office of Community Corrections to participate in the 2nd Chance program. Women who have particpated appreciate this "alternative to jail" program.

Words cannot express the gratitude I have for my counselor and his friendship/mentoring. The impact he has made in my life, in my heart, is unmatched. God has blessed us in innumerable measure, and his guidance and care are a tremendous portion of mine. Thank you and God bless you. Respectfully,
